How cold should you serve Westvleteren?

Ohw! You wait so long on your Westvleteren and then you make the fault to serve it totally wrong! Most people make the fault to serve the dark Trappists (8 and 12) very cold and put them before serving in the fridge. You better not do this and leave them in the cellar.

If the trappist beer brought to your living room and is there for about an hour, you can however put it in the fridge for aproximately 20 minutes. The best serving temperature is around 14°. Do NOT serve them with icecubes!

The blond Trappist Westvleteren you can put some hours before serving in the fridge.

Do not drink the Westvleteren from the bottle. What a shame! If you have the specific Westvleteren glass, that’s great and you should use it. This but any other glass you should first put into cold water, let it leak for 5 seconds, and then you put the delicious beer into the beer glass.
